A 1936 Art Deco cinema in the heart of the Plaza District — Oklahoma's first air-conditioned theatre, originally an Atmospheric-style movie palace, and the anchor of the district's recent revival. After decades closed, the theatre reopened in 2015 as a live performance space for indie music, theatre and burlesque, and is now one of the more interesting small venues in the city.
The original neon marquee was restored as part of the reopening and is the visual signature of the Plaza District at night. Catch a show if you can; if not, the surrounding sidewalk turns into an open-air food and craft fair on the second Friday of every month.
