The 1914 Creek County Courthouse anchors the centre of downtown Sapulpa, a four-storey Beaux-Arts limestone building on a slightly elevated site. Designed by Layton & Smith — the same firm responsible for the Oklahoma County Courthouse in Oklahoma City — it has the deep-arched first floor, paired Ionic columns, and balustraded roofline of the style.
Still in use as the working county courthouse. Free public access to the lobby during business hours; the carved limestone façade and the original cast-iron lighting are the highlights. A two-minute walk from the World's Largest Gas Pump for a downtown loop.
