Eating Out

Astoria has punched above its weight for food in recent years. The craft brewery scene is strong, and the restaurant scene has grown along with the town's popularity as a destination. The focus is on Pacific Northwest ingredients: Dungeness crab, salmon, clams, local oysters, and mushrooms from the surrounding forests.

Commercial Street and its side streets have the highest concentration of restaurants and cafes. The Saturday Astoria Sunday Market (confusingly held on Sundays from May to October) draws local food producers selling cheese, smoked fish, baked goods, and seasonal produce from the river valley.
