Sisters State Park is a small day-use park on the southeast edge of town, an easy walk from the main downtown grid. It is mostly a picnic ground under a stand of mature ponderosa pines, with a few short walking trails and a small open meadow. The trail loop is about a kilometre and gives a peaceful break from the busier sights in town.
This is more of a local lunch-stop kind of park than a destination — useful if you want to escape the downtown crowds for an hour. There is no entry fee. The bigger nearby parks (Camp Polk Meadow Preserve, the Three Sisters Wilderness trailheads, Smith Rock to the east) are all considerably more impressive.
