A 520-acre linear park along the restored Lehigh Canal southwest of downtown. The towpath here is the only stretch of canal in the country where you can still see a mule-drawn boat in operation — the Josiah White II is based at the boat dock in the park and runs visitor trips through summer.
For non-boating visitors, the towpath is a flat, shaded walk or bike route, popular with locals and joggers. A short side trail leads to the Locktender's House Museum, a small period-furnished cabin showing how a canal-tender family lived in the 1870s. Free parking and entry; bring water in summer.
