Easton's big-ticket draw is the Crayola Experience for families, but the town has more on it than that suggests: a tightly preserved colonial Centre Square where the Declaration was read aloud in 1776, an underrated canal museum on the Lehigh waterfront, and a growing scene of independent restaurants and galleries downtown. The campus of Lafayette College sits on a hill at the north end, the surrounding hills are pretty, and the rivers are the soul of the place.
