Getting There

Lancaster is on Amtrak's Keystone Corridor between Philadelphia (about 70 minutes east) and Harrisburg (40 minutes west). The handsome 1929 Lancaster Station is a five-minute drive north of downtown. Amtrak's Keystone and Pennsylvanian services run roughly hourly, with onward connections to New York.

By car, Lancaster sits just south of US Route 30, which runs straight from Philadelphia. The drive from Philadelphia takes about 90 minutes; from Baltimore or Washington, closer to two to three hours.

The nearest large airport is Philadelphia International (PHL), about 70 miles east. Lancaster Airport (LNS) has only limited regional service. Harrisburg International (MDT) is closer than Philadelphia but with fewer flights.
