Bull's Head Public House

A proper British-style pub on East Main Street, with a deep selection of cask ales, hand-pull beer engines, and an unusually serious whisky list. The food menu — fish and chips, shepherd's pie, scotch eggs — is more authentic than most American attempts at the genre, run by an English-born landlord.

Cosy, dim, and busy in the evening. CAMRA awards on the wall. A welcome contrast to the chocolate-and-pretzel afternoon programme.
