Cleveland is mainly a base for the outdoor country to the east: the Cherokee National Forest, the Ocoee Whitewater Center, and the southern end of the Appalachian Trail. In town there is a compact historic district along Ocoee Street, a couple of small museums and a respectable craft-beer scene around Lee University.
