The definitive museum of country music history, housed in a purpose-built building just south of downtown. The collection spans Elvis's gold Cadillac, Hank Williams's stage suits, handwritten lyrics, instruments, and thousands of recordings. The permanent exhibition traces the genre from its Appalachian and blues roots through to contemporary country-pop.

Tickets include a tour of RCA Studio B on Music Row, where Elvis, Dolly Parton, Roy Orbison, and hundreds of others recorded. Allow a full morning. The museum also runs a strong programme of temporary exhibitions.
