Spring (April–May) and fall (September–October) are the best times to visit. Summers are hot and humid, though the city's indoor attractions make it manageable year-round. The CMA Music Festival in June fills downtown with country music fans and sells out hotels months in advance — avoid unless that's the point. October is ideal: comfortable temperatures, the Tennessee State Fair, the Nashville Symphony season underway, and the NFL Titans and NHL Predators both in play.
