Yazoo opened in 2003 as the first major craft brewery in Nashville and is still the city's flagship. The taproom in the Gulch (also home to the main production facility) opens onto a covered courtyard with picnic tables, a permanent line of beers (the Pale Ale, the Dos Perros dark Mexican lager, and the seasonal Sue smoked porter are the long-running flagships), and rotating special releases.
Tours of the brewery run on weekends. The taproom is family-friendly and a useful daytime stop in the Gulch. Tennessee Brew Works and Bearded Iris, also nearby, fill out the local craft circuit if Yazoo is too crowded.
