The Texas Theatre is a restored 1931 movie palace in Oak Cliff, best known as the place where Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. That history gives it a place in Dallas lore beyond its role as a cinema.
It still operates as a theatre, with repertory films, special screenings, and events. The building is most rewarding if you pair the historic stop with an actual show, but even from the outside it adds a useful Oak Cliff chapter to the city's Kennedy sites.
