Dallas rewards specific destinations rather than aimless walking. The Arts District downtown is the best reason to visit the city centre: the Nasher Sculpture Center, the Dallas Museum of Art, and the Meyerson Symphony Center are all within walking distance of each other. Dealey Plaza, site of the Kennedy assassination, is a short walk west of downtown. Deep Ellum is the best neighbourhood for music and street life.
