Red Rock Brewing Company has been one of Salt Lake City's most reliable gathering spots since 1994, occupying a large brewpub space in the western part of downtown with a brewery visible through the glass. The beer range covers the expected styles alongside seasonal specials, and the food — burgers, salads, pizza — is better than average for a brewpub.
The downtown location makes it convenient for lunch or dinner before or after visiting Temple Square or the adjacent attractions. The brewery has expanded to multiple locations across the valley, but this original downtown pub remains the most atmospheric.
