Downtown shopping centres around City Creek Center (formerly Crossroads Plaza), an open-air mall directly across from Temple Square with over 100 stores. The Gateway, in the western part of downtown, provides a second retail hub with more of an entertainment focus.
For independent shopping, the 9th and 9th neighbourhood has independent boutiques and secondhand shops. The Pioneer Park farmers market on Saturday mornings (late spring through autumn) is the best place for local food products. Factory outlet shopping is available at outlets in Lehi and Tanger, both south of the city on I-15.
