Getting there

Sterling sits on US-89 in central Utah, roughly 160km south of Provo and 250km south of Salt Lake City. The drive from Salt Lake City takes about two and a half hours on I-15 south to Nephi, then US-89 south through the valley.

There is no public transport to Sterling or anywhere nearby. A car is essential; there is simply no other practical way to reach or leave the village.

The nearest commercial airport is Salt Lake City International (SLC), approximately 2.5 hours north by car. Provo Airport (PVU) is closer at around 90 minutes but has very limited commercial service.

Fuel and basic services are available in Manti, 10km north on US-89. There is nothing to buy in Sterling itself.
