Getting There

Williamsburg is about 50 miles east of Richmond and 150 miles south of Washington DC. By car the I-64 connects it to both; the drive from DC takes roughly two and a half hours. Amtrak runs daily service from Washington Union Station to Williamsburg (about 2h45m on the Northeast Regional) with additional service from New York. The Williamsburg Transportation Center, within walking distance of Colonial Williamsburg, handles both Amtrak and Greyhound arrivals.

Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport (PHF) is the closest regional airport, with limited flights; most visitors fly into Richmond International (RIC) or Norfolk International (ORF), both about an hour away by car.
