Bellingham has a craft beer culture well out of proportion to its size, with several respected breweries operating downtown and in Fairhaven. The coffee scene is anchored by Tony's Coffee, a local roaster that supplies many of the city's cafes. Western Washington University keeps the overall scene lively and relatively unpretentious.
