Storyville occupies a small room at Pike Place Market with a rooftop terrace that has one of the better views of the market and Elliott Bay below. The coffee is single-origin and well-sourced, the roasting is done in-house, and the baristas know what they are doing. This is a legitimate coffee destination rather than a tourist convenience.
The terrace above the market stalls is the main draw: a dozen seats with an unobstructed view over the Pike Place sign and Elliott Bay, best in the late afternoon when the light comes from the west. The house blend is reliable; the pour-overs are worth the wait.
