The zodiac boat rides offered on the Argentine side take you directly under the falls — you will be completely, inescapably soaked within seconds. There is no half-measure here: the boats motor straight into the cascade, and the experience is as exhilarating as it sounds.
The rides are optional and bookable on arrival at the park visitor centre. Waterproof bags for cameras and phones are essential; anything not protected will be ruined. Bring a change of clothes or embrace the slow drying process in the afternoon heat.
One of the most memorable experiences at Iguazú, and worth doing once. Best in the afternoon when the light comes from a useful angle and you have already done the circuit walks.
