Bars and Cafes

Rosario has a strong bar culture with a university city energy — late nights, live music, and a lot of beer alongside the usual Argentine wines. The action centres around the streets near Pellegrini Avenue and along the waterfront bars.

El Diablito on the waterfront is one of the city's most established evening spots — outdoor tables, decent food, and a crowd that runs from students to families. La Jirafa is a long-running bar near the centre that attracts the literary and bohemian crowd. For craft beer, Rosario has developed a small but enthusiastic brewing scene over the past decade; look for taprooms in the Puerto Norte area near the converted rail yards.

Wine bars are increasingly common — this is Argentina, after all, and Mendoza is not far. Ask specifically for Malbec from Luján de Cuyo or the Uco Valley if you want the best of what the country produces.
