Museo Histórico Provincial Dr. Julio Marc

The Dr. Julio Marc Provincial Historical Museum is one of Argentina's more underrated history museums, housed in a Moorish-revival building within Parque de la Independencia. The collection covers the history of the Santa Fe province from pre-Columbian times through the colonial period and independence, with particular depth on the 19th century.

The ethnographic section is especially interesting — artefacts from the indigenous Mocoví and Toba peoples of the Chaco region, collected in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The decorative arts rooms display period furniture, silverware, and religious objects from the colonial period. The museum is rarely crowded and offers a quieter alternative to the more visited national history museums in Buenos Aires.
