Tupiza's restaurant scene is small but reasonable, mostly clustered around Plaza Independencia and Avenida Regimiento Chichas. Expect Bolivian staples — soup, llama and chicken with rice, pique macho — at very low prices. A few places lean toward the gringo trail and serve pizza, pasta and decent breakfasts. The salteñas from the bakeries on Calle Cochabamba are an excellent mid-morning snack.
