Uyuni exists to sell one thing. The salt flat is the largest in the world, and the town at its edge is a grid of agencies selling the same three products: the one-day flat, the sunset-and-stars variant, and the three-day circuit south through the coloured lagoons to the Chilean border at Hito Cajón.
Prices cluster tightly because the product is identical — the same 4×4s, the same salt hotel, the same train cemetery. What varies is the driver, the food and whether the vehicle has seatbelts. Several agencies here publish no address at all and take every booking on WhatsApp.
