The only real day trip from Uyuni is the Salar de Uyuni itself, but that single trip is the entire reason most people make the journey to this corner of the Altiplano. Standard one-day tours leave at dawn for the train cemetery, the salt village of Colchani, Incahuasi Island in the middle of the flat, and back by sunset. Multi-day tours continue south into the Eduardo Avaroa Reserve.
