Manaus's Millennium Center sits between Avenida Djalma Batista and Avenida Constantino Nery, two of the city's busiest thoroughfares. The complex houses a large shopping mall with a food court that includes Barbacoa, a well-regarded Brazilian steakhouse. There are also cinemas, a bowling alley, and the usual mix of chain and local shops. Air-conditioned and sprawling, it is the kind of place locals head to on a hot afternoon when the heat outside becomes unbearable.
