The city's main beach, on a small bay south of the centre, with calm clean water sheltered by headlands at both ends. It is not Balneário Camboriú — no high-rises, no commercial pier — but a relaxed neighbourhood beach with a couple of seafood restaurants on the sand.
Best for swimming and a leisurely afternoon rather than surf or nightlife. About 15 minutes by taxi from the centre; weekend buses also run.
