Te Ra'ai

Cultural dinner show on the western edge of Hanga Roa. Guests are shown how a traditional umu (earth oven) is opened and the resulting pork, chicken, and sweet potato is served family-style. A song and dance performance with traditional music follows.

Expensive — around USD 100 per person — and unapologetically aimed at tourists, but the food is genuinely good and the cultural framing is more informed than a generic luau. Book a day or two ahead.
