The most consistently recommended restaurant in town, La Marmita sits in a small wooden house on Plaza Sampaio. The menu is short, written on a blackboard, and shifts with what comes off the boats. Expect things like centolla risotto, cordero with mashed potato and merkén, a thick paila marina, and very good homemade bread.
Service is friendly and a touch slower than you might want, but the place fills up quickly and reservations are a good idea in summer. It also has one of the better wine lists in southern Patagonia, with several smaller Chilean producers you won't see in the chain restaurants downtown.
