Iglesia de San José

19th-century colonial-revival church on Parque San José

Address Carrera 49 No. 50A-37

A handsome late-nineteenth-century colonial-revival church on the small Parque San José downtown, with a quiet interior of dark wood and gilded altarpieces. Less visited than the Catedral Metropolitana a few blocks away and consequently a more contemplative stop on a walking circuit of the centre. Mass several times daily; otherwise the church is largely empty.
