Getting Around

Medellin has the only metro system in Colombia and it is the best way to move through the city: clean, fast, and cheap. Two metro lines run the length of the valley floor, and five Metrocable gondola lines climb the hillsides to connect barrios that used to be isolated. A single ticket gets you onto the whole network. Buses fill in the gaps but are confusing if you do not speak Spanish. Taxis are plentiful and metered — use an app to avoid being overcharged.
