Nightlife concentrates along Avenida Colombia in the north end of town, where bars and open-air clubs play reggaeton, salsa, and Caribbean beats until well past midnight. The reggae influence of Raizal culture turns up in small beach bars scattered around the quieter parts of the island. For something low-key, the coffee houses around the commercial centre open early and make good people-watching spots for the morning boat traffic.
