A sheltered bay on the quieter west coast, El Cove has calmer water than most beaches and is favoured by locals. The surroundings are more rustic than the hotel strip and the pace is noticeably slower. It is a good base for snorkelling the nearby reef patches and for getting a sense of the island away from the duty-free bustle.
