Cuenca has a good café culture, sustained partly by its large student and expat populations. Highland coffee from nearby growing regions is available at several quality cafés in and around the historic centre, alongside the traditional sweets that Cuenca is known for. Calle Larga doubles as the city's bar strip in the evenings, with craft beer and wine bars alongside the restaurants.
