On the main road 300 metres before the turning down into Mindo, with its own patch of cloud forest, hummingbird feeders and trails. The birding here is the reason people come: the Chocó-Andean slope holds a species list that draws people who count.
Being on the highway rather than in the village is an advantage if you are driving and a nuisance if you are not, so ask about transfers.
