El Parque Zoológico de Huachipa is a zoo on the Río Rímac in Lima's eastern suburbs. The surrounding district is dusty and industrial, but inside there are monkey islands, big-cat enclosures, a walk-through aviary, and penguin pools with underwater viewing windows.
