The Parque de la Amistad ("Friendship Park") in Surco is a 50-hectare landscaped park with a small zoo, a Japanese-style garden donated by the Japanese community, a sculpture trail, and a long fountain pool that fills with paddle-boaters at weekends. Each section of the park is themed around a different country or region.
Less central than Miraflores parks but bigger, quieter, and free. Useful for families with children. A small open-air train circles the grounds. Easy by taxi from Miraflores; less easy by public transport.
