Pisco is primarily a base for exploring the remarkable natural and archaeological attractions nearby — the Islas Ballestas, the Paracas peninsula, and the Inca administrative centre of Tambo Colorado. Within the town itself, the rebuilt Plaza de Armas is worth an hour of wandering, and the port area has a raw, working harbour energy. The big draws are all within an hour's drive.
