Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport (PBM) is about 45 km south of Paramaribo. Allow roughly an hour for the transfer and arrange a known driver before a late arrival. Amsterdam is the main long-haul gateway; regional routes change, so check current airline schedules.
There is no rail network. From French Guiana, cross between Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni and Albina, clear immigration, then continue by shared taxi or minibus. From Guyana, the route uses the Canawaima ferry and the coastal road through Nieuw Nickerie. Border timetables change and can leave you stranded overnight, so verify the whole connection before departure.
The airport has taxis and pre-arranged transfers. Confirm the fare before leaving.
