When to Go

Paraguaná is dry and sunny almost year round, with the trade winds blowing consistently from the northeast. The wind is strongest between December and April, which is the prime season for kitesurfing and windsurfing at Adícora. Temperatures hover between 25°C and 35°C throughout the year.

The wet season runs from May to November, when brief rain showers can arrive — though Paraguaná receives significantly less rainfall than the Venezuelan interior. The drier months are also the most comfortable for hiking Cerro Santa Ana, as the upper cloud forest trails become muddy after heavy rain.
