El Aouana Port sits west of Jijel on the scenic coastal road, in a small fishing and leisure harbour backed by hills. The town was historically known as Cavallo, and the area still feels like a string of coastal villages rather than a single resort.
Stop here for a change of rhythm from Jijel city: fishing boats, sea views, and access to nearby coves and beaches. It is also a useful pause before continuing towards the Grottes Merveilleuses and Taza National Park.
