Caotinha is the small, good-looking beach behind Morro da Caota, close enough to Benguela for a half-day escape but far enough from the waterfront to feel like a different coast. The sand sits in a sheltered cove, with low rock walls and clear Atlantic water that makes it more intimate than the long open beaches farther south.
Come with your own water and shade if you are not sure what will be open. The setting is the point: a swim, a slow walk around the rocks, and a look back toward the ochre coast that gives Benguela's shoreline its character.
