Mochudi is 35 km north of Gaborone on the A1 highway — about 30 minutes by car. Minibus taxis run regularly between Gaborone and Mochudi throughout the day and are the easiest public transport option. The journey takes around 45 minutes by minibus.
If you are visiting the Matsieng Footprints as well as the museum, a car is useful — the petroglyph site is 15 km from Mochudi in a different direction, not easily walkable.
