Dschang is about 60 km west of Bafoussam and 310 km west of Yaoundé. The most practical approach is by bush taxi or minibus from Bafoussam, which has good connections to Douala, Yaoundé, and other western highland towns. The road between Bafoussam and Dschang climbs steeply into the highlands and passes through attractive hill scenery; the journey takes about 90 minutes.
From Douala, bush taxis run to Bafoussam (3–4 hours) and onward connections to Dschang are frequent during daylight hours. From Yaoundé, the bus to Bafoussam takes about 4 hours.
Dschang Airport handles occasional domestic flights, but schedules are unreliable and most travellers use road transport. The airport is primarily a legacy facility from the colonial era.
