Dschang rewards slow exploration. The cool highland air makes walking pleasant, the surrounding countryside is beautiful for hiking, and the university gives the town an intellectual energy unusual for a small Cameroonian city. The Museum of Civilisations is the main fixed-site attraction; the rest is about the landscape, the tea plantations, and the villages accessible on foot or by motorbike taxi in the surrounding Menoua hills.
