The Maadi Yacht Club is a private members' club on the Nile waterfront in southern Maadi — a small marina with moored sailboats and powerboats, a clubhouse, and riverside garden. Non-members can visit the adjacent corniche area and watch river activity, and day membership arrangements are sometimes available through established contacts. The club hosts sailing regattas and rowing events.
The Nile at this point is noticeably cleaner and quieter than downtown. The corniche walk from the Yacht Club north towards Road 9 (about 20 minutes) passes through residential Maadi at its most pleasant: tree-shaded paths, benches, and river views. Feluccas operate from small docks along this stretch for less than downtown prices.
