A long-running seafood place a block back from the Sakkala marina, popular with both local Egyptians and longer-staying foreigners. The format is the one everyone wants: a chilled display case of whole fish brought in that morning, you choose what to eat, the cook grills or fries it to order. Side dishes of rice, baba ganoush, tahini and pickled vegetables arrive whether you ordered them or not. Prices are noticeably lower than the resort restaurants and the fish is reliably fresh.
