Getting There

By air — Hurghada International Airport (HRG) receives direct charter and scheduled flights from across Europe, particularly the UK, Germany, Russia, and Eastern Europe. EgyptAir operates domestic connections from Cairo (around 1 hour). During peak winter season the flight selection is extensive; in summer it thins out somewhat. The airport is about 5 km south of the Sakkala resort strip.

By bus — Upper Egypt Travel and Go Bus operate services from Cairo (roughly 6–7 hours), Luxor (3–4 hours), and Aswan (5–6 hours). Buses are comfortable and air-conditioned; book tickets in advance during peak season.

By ferry — A fast ferry crosses to Sharm el-Sheikh several times a week, taking around 1.5 hours. The service is reliable in calm conditions but can be cancelled in rough weather.
