Bars and Cafes

Sharm el-Sheikh has a lively bar scene by Egyptian standards — alcohol is widely available here, which is not the case everywhere in the country. Most of the action centres on Na'ama Bay, where bars and cafes stay open late and many transition from cafe by day to club by night. Expect around €3 for a beer and €10 or more for a bottle of wine at a bar; supermarkets are considerably cheaper.

Soho Square, a purpose-built entertainment complex between the Savoy Hotel and the Sierra Hotel, houses several themed bars and the Pangaea nightclub, and draws a good crowd most evenings. For something quieter, the clifftop neighbourhood of Hadaba has more relaxed options with views over the sea.
